Boiler and Heating FAQs – Heatsafe Heating
Got a question about your boiler, a new installation or one of our services? We have put together answers to the questions we get asked most often. If you cannot find what you are looking for, get in touch and our team will be happy to help.
New Boilers
New boiler installations with Heatsafe Heating start from approximately £1,999 including VAT for a Navien combi boiler swap on a typical three-bedroom semi-detached property. The final price will depend on your property, the boiler brand and model you choose, and any additional work required.
Our most commonly fitted boiler is Navien, and we are one of the highest-volume Navien installers in Scotland. We also regularly fit Ideal and Worcester Bosch boilers. Our team will recommend the best option for your home and budget.
Most standard combi boiler replacements can be completed in a single day. More complex installations, such as a full system change or a boiler relocation, may take longer. Your engineer will give you a clear timescale before work begins.
Absolutely. Our engineers use dust sheets throughout the job, work cleanly and remove all waste and old equipment when the work is complete. We aim to leave your home exactly as we found it.
After every boiler installation you will receive a Gas Safety Certificate, boiler commissioning records and warranty registration documentation. Everything is completed properly so your installation is fully recorded and your warranty is protected.
Yes. We offer flexible finance through Phoenix Finance, allowing you to spread the cost of your new boiler into monthly payments. Ask us about available finance options when you request your quote.
Boiler Servicing
An annual boiler service with Heatsafe Heating costs £95 including VAT.
Your boiler should be serviced once a year, ideally before the winter heating season. Regular servicing keeps your boiler running safely and efficiently, and is usually required to keep your manufacturer warranty valid.
Our engineer will carry out a thorough inspection of your boiler, check all key internal components, test gas pressure, inspect the flue and ventilation and confirm the appliance is operating safely. Any issues identified will be explained to you clearly.
Heatsafe Protect is our monthly boiler care plan, available in three tiers: Essential, Premium and Elite, with plans starting from approximately £11.99 per month. Each plan includes your annual boiler service as standard, along with additional benefits depending on the tier you choose. It is a service and maintenance plan, not an insurance product.
Boiler Repairs
Yes. We offer reactive boiler repairs for existing systems across Falkirk, Cumbernauld, Stirling, Linlithgow and Kirkintilloch. Contact us to arrange a visit from one of our Gas Safe registered engineers.
Boiler pressure should typically sit between one and one and a half bar on the pressure gauge when the system is cold. If it has dropped, you can top up the pressure yourself using the filling loop, which is usually located beneath the boiler. If pressure keeps dropping repeatedly, this may indicate a leak or a fault that needs professional attention.
Banging, kettling, whistling or clunking noises from a boiler can indicate a number of issues, including limescale build-up, a faulty component or air in the system. We recommend booking a service or repair check sooner rather than later to identify the cause.
Powerflushing
A powerflush is a deep cleaning process for your central heating system. It uses a powerful machine to circulate water and specialist chemicals through your radiators and pipework, removing sludge, rust and debris that accumulate over time. This restores proper flow and heat distribution across your system.
Our powerflushing prices are as follows: up to ten radiators costs £740 including VAT; eleven to fifteen radiators costs £840 including VAT; and sixteen to twenty radiators costs £940 including VAT.
Common signs include cold spots on radiators, uneven heat across the house, discoloured water when you bleed radiators, noisy pipes or a boiler that frequently breaks down. Our engineers can assess your system and advise whether a powerflush is the right solution.
