Central heating Radiators.
Heatsafe can supply and fit all styles, sizes and types of radiators. From traditional to something a little more modern and fancy. We are happy to help advise our customers on what type and size is adequate to heat each room so they are fit for purpose.
Thermostatic radiator valves.
Thermostatic radiator valve or (TRV) for short are an import part of saving money on your energy bills. People can get confused and think they make the radiator hotter or colder but in fact they work by sensing the room temperature. Normally the TRV will be numbered 1-5, the TRV works by sensing the air temperature adjacent to the radiator and by turning the flow of hot water on and off depending on if the air temperature is above or below the set point. We can supply and fit TRV’s to new or old, vertical or horizontal radiators.
Central heating power flushing.
A power flush can help maximise the efficiency of your boiler and central heating system. Our power flush involves circulating high-strength cleansing chemicals, including a de scaler, a corrosion inhibitor and a sludge breaker, throughout your central heating system in order to remove debris, rust and contaminants.
The procedure normally takes one day depending on the size of your heating system.
Magnetic sludge filter.
Magnetic sludge filters are fitted to your boiler’s pipework, extracting any debris from the water flowing through the pipes so that there isn’t a build-up which can restrict the flow of water.
Heatsafe always advise our customers to think about adding a sludge filter if they decide to fit a new boiler especially if it’s on to an old radiator system. This helps protect the new boiler from any sludge in the existing system.
Fitting a magnetic filter to your boiler could bring many benefits to your home:
More efficient heating system.
Lower energy bills.
Reduced carbon footprint.
Greatly reduced risk of needing expensive repairs.
Longer boiler lifetime.
Increased length of boiler warranty.
Central heating & smart controls.
Our friendly team can help advise you on what controls are best suited for you and your home. We are up to date with all the new smart controls or if you would prefer something more basic.
Smart controls (Hive, Nest etc)
Programmer/Timers.
Wireless programmable thermostats.
Heating or Hot water zone valves.
Room thermostats.
Cylinder thermostats.
Central heating wiring issues.
Unvented cylinders.
If you have a bigger home with more than one bathroom/en-suite you might be interested in investing in an unvented cylinder. Note (Unvented cylinders can only be fitted with a systems or heat only boiler). An unvented cylinder is connected directly to the mains so there is no need for a cold-water tank in the loft. You are essentially cutting out the middleman and the pressure of your water should be stronger. Also, it means you can run more than 1 hot tap simultaneously unlike a combi boiler.
Always check whoever is fitting an unvented cylinder is qualified to do so as unvented cylinders have inbuilt safety features that must be fitted properly. If you have any questions regarding an unvented cylinder feel free to contact our office for some advice.
Pipe work/press fitting.
There are many different types of pipe and fittings available to use on your central heating system installation or for repairs, i.e. plastic push fit, copper solder fittings etc.
Heatsafe are always looking for new and improved idea’s for ourself and our customers. That's why we have invested in a mechanical press tool so we can now use press fittings. The benefits of press fittings are they are quicker to install, flame free installation, therefore posing no fire risk, no smell or smoke from soldering.
